Comet Caddy
This policy explains what Comet Caddy does with your information. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
Comet Caddy has no accounts, no login, and no servers of ours. Your progress is stored only on your device. We do not collect, see, or sell your personal information. The advertising SDK we use does collect data — that section is below, and it is the only part where anything leaves your phone.
What the game itself stores
Comet Caddy saves the following on your device only, using local storage:
- level progress, stars earned, and best scores
- sound on/off and other settings
- whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade
This never leaves your phone, is not backed up to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. There is no way for us to read it.
Advertising
Comet Caddy displays ads from Google AdMob. To serve them, Google's SDK may collect and process device and usage information, including an advertising identifier, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data. This happens inside Google's SDK; we do not receive that data.
- Google's practices: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Controlling this. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads. On iOS, ad tracking requires your explicit permission, which you can refuse or revoke in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Buying the ad-free upgrade stops ads being requested at all, which means the advertising SDK stops collecting for ad-serving purposes.
Purchases
The ad-free upgrade is sold through Google Play Billing. Your payment is handled entirely by Google — we never see your card details, name, or billing address. We receive only the fact that the purchase completed, so the app can unlock the entitlement on your device.
Children
Comet Caddy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising SDK, contact us and we will help you raise it with Google.
Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform will ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you may decline. Declining does not stop you playing — you will see non-personalised ads instead. You have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data held about you; because we hold none ourselves, such requests should be directed to Google for advertising data.
Users in California
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Advertising data collected by Google is governed by Google's own disclosures, linked above.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date will change and the revised policy will be published at the same URL before the change takes effect.
